Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is a kidney disorder which can cause glomeruloscleosis. Glomerulosclerosis refers that the glomeruli is scarring or hardening. If untreated, it will lead to kidney failure. FSGS mostly occurs without a cause. In this case, it is called primary FSGS. In addition, some other causes can also cause FSGS. 1. Decrease of immunity can lead to focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.
Due to decrease of immunity, the pathologic foreign bodies as some type of antigens, will combine with antibody after attacking into human body, and then form immune complexes. The epitopes in the kidneys can attract the immune complex. In this case, the immune complex will flow with blood circulation and deposit in the glomerular capillary loops, which will lead to segmental hyaline degeneration in the epithelial cells of the glomerulus, so the surface of epithelial cells of the glomerulus is desquamation, and the inflammatory medium continues to attack your body, causing the damages of the epithelial cells barrier function.
