1. Insomnia

2. Drowsiness

Drowsiness is another sleep problem caused by Chronic Kidney Failure and it usually occurs due to buildup of urea nitrogen in the blood. Similar with creatinine, the metabolism of meat in our body, urea nitrogen is also discharged through kidney, so when Chronic Kidney Disease is caused, urea nitrogen level in blood will increase. Arginine is a substance that can produce urea nitrogen. When BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen) is elevated for some reasons, arginine will be decomposed into methylguanidine and some other substances. High level of methylguanidine is one of the major causes for Chronic Kidney Failure patients to feel drowsy.

Sleep problem is just one of the bothersome symptoms of Chronic Kidney Failure patients and aside from it, they may also experience skin itching, vomiting and extremely tiredness and so on. All these discomforts affect patients’ life seriously, so to have a better and high quality life, it is very important for them to take some medical measures to get all these discomforts removed.
