2018-12-15 08:38

Many patients think that it doesn’t matter much if there is a small stone in the body, which is not the truth. The damage of stones to the kidneys mainly lies in blocking the urinary tract and causing direct damage to the mucous membranes of the urinary tract, leading to a decline in renal function. When complicated with infection, it develops into pyelonephritis or pyonephrosis, which quickly damages the kidney. Uremia may occur in the late stage of bilateral kidney stones.

The main symptoms of kidney stones are pain and hematuria. Pain can be dull pain or severe colic. These symptoms mainly depend on the size and location of the stones, the degree of obstruction and the presence or absence of infection. A few stones with no obstruction or mild obstruction but no infection are usually asymptomatic, and even have caused renal damage without feeling. It was discovered only when the ” B” scan, abdominal X – ray or CT examination were performed accidentally.

The main symptoms of kidney stones are pain and hematuria. Very few patients can have no symptoms for a long time.

( 1 ) Pain: Most of the patients suffered from low back pain or severe abdominal pain, most of which were caused by dull or dull pain in the affected side of the waist. The smaller stones often cause smooth muscle spasm and colic. This colic often happens suddenly and violently, like a knife cut, radiating to the lower abdomen, outer genitals and inner thighs. Sometimes patients with pale complexion, cold sweat, nausea and vomiting have symptoms such as weak pulse and rapid drop of blood pressure. Pain often paroxysms or can be stopped suddenly or relieved by a certain action.

( 2 ) hematuria: Because stones directly damage the mucosa of kidney and ureter, the severity of microscopic hematuria or macroscopic hematuria often occurs after severe pain is related to the degree of injury.

( 3 ) purulent urine: When kidney and ureter stones are complicated with infection, pus cells in urine may cause high fever and low back pain.

( 4 ) Other: Stone obstruction can cause hydronephrosis and renal insufficiency, and some patients can even suffer from gastrointestinal anemia and so on.
